[Advice]PEAR and patTemplates patXMLRenderer

Hello guys,

I need a little advice:

I've been trying to get to grips using a php template system & after 3 weeks of hunting around, have settled for patTemplates.

The only problem is I want to test this all on my localhost, I've been told I can do a manual install or try doing an install using PEAR.

So far so good, but there seems to be very little 'plain english' install advice anywhere on the web.

I was wondering if any of the NetHosted community had any experience with patTemplate?

Thanks Andrew,

I've looked at over 50 diffrent types over the last few weeks.

It seems that php templating is a bit of a black art, highly recommended by many, but not much info about how to become a Wizard... - lol

If it helps, this is my local test box info:
WindowsXP with:
Apache 2.0.52
php 4.3.9
mysql 4.0.21
ActivePerl-5.8.4.810

C:\web\Apache2\htdocs\
