| |
For many years I have backup the children's DVDs as they are careless and scratch them, leave them lying around and generally abuse the discs.
Until now I used DVD Decrypter, which strangely brought NetHosted to my attention through a special deal.
I have some DVDs I bought the children for Christmas that i would like to make backups, to keep the originals in good shape.
Currently on 2 discs I am backing up I am seeing re-try errors with no progress in DVD decrypter and MactheRipper is telling me there is damaged files on the DCD.
Does anyone have a recommended backup utility they use ?
I am not looking to make illegal copies, but just backup my own purchased DVDs.
I have access to Mac and PC, so any recommendation is appreciated, on either OS.
Regards

DVDShrink ???
AnyDVD ???
I used DVDShrink to sort out my niece's discs and up till now i haven't had any problems.
A friend of mine uses AnyDVD with Clone DVD from slysoft
http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html
Hope that helps. _________________ Paul M |

I think it can.
When you select destination, I'm sure it gives you an option to select the same drive that you are ripping from.
Haven't used it for a year or so, but it is very good. |

It appears I have issues with Disney DVDs only. I'll try some of the other products I've found, amongst DVD Shrink.
