The SAMS - learn in 24hrs seem to be quite good. The other series I like at a beginner level is the Visual Quickstart Guides in HTML & PHP. All of these are available from PC World or similar. _________________ Hard to find and premium pet products at Pennine Vets |

I bought Sams Teach Yourself HTML & XHTML, PCWorld didn't have the PHP & MySQL in stock so i got Beginning PHP5, Apache, MySQL Web Development. I've had CuteFTP pro for ages and now it looks like i finally might use it Can anybody recommend a HTML Editor i've d/loaded the free trial of Cute HTML Pro for the time being its a bit pricey tho |

I'd recommend html-kit (http://www.chami.com/html-kit/) everytime if you are a Windows user!

Well it'll cost you $55 to register for a single user licence, I was just wondering if the extra Pro tools they give you if you do register was worth it. I don't think a novice like myself needs to worry about registering |

I've just had a look and it doesn't seem to add anything that I (or you) are likely to need. If you want to suuport their work, fair enough, but I doubt the add-ons are worth the money. _________________ Hard to find and premium pet products at Pennine Vets |

PHP and MySQL for Dummies is a great book, as far as html goes tutorials online were the best for me. |
