Hi Andrew,

I'd like to consolidate my various e-mail addresses into a single one - preferably IMAP so I can check it remotely too.

I currently have a domain hosted with Zen and one with Sky (my broadband provider). I would like to use the Zen domain for sending out any replies so that they looked as if they came from my domain. Zen's control panel system lets me set up A and MX records to redirect things.

Could you give me any pointers as to:
* whether I can do this through one of your packages (I was thinking of your Professional Email package)
* what I'd need to set the A and MX records to

Thanks very much for any help that you can offer,

Karen

Karen,

Thanks for your interest in NetHosted!

If you set your MX record to our server IP our server will become the mail exchange for all of your mail. So you will be able to both send and receive mail via your domain on our service. You can use IMAP.

We will send you the correct IP at sign up in your welcome email.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Andrew

Karen,

Welcome to NetHosted! Your account has been setup.

An MX record shouldn't point to an IP address, so you should first setup an A record such as mail.yourdomain.com to point to the server IP (217.112.86.66). Then set the MX record to point to the A record you have just created.

Thanks,

Andrew
