| |
I have a number of email accounts set up to forward email onto private accounts with other ISPs. However a copy of the forwarded mail is still retained in the inboxes. The result is that mail that has already been forwarded piles up using storage space. I am aware that mail can be aged but this requires a user to log into the account. My users do not log in but rather just receive forwarded mail. Is there a facility to automatically delete mail after forwarding?

Rather than creating a mail account if the mail is just going to forwarded, why don't you just create a mail forward (Mail -> Forwarders in cPanel). I don't think they will store the emails it forwards then.
Edit: I guess currently you have created a mail account for each address, then created a forward also for each address? In that case just remove the mail account for each address and just keep the mail forward. _________________ Adam |

Andrew, Thanks.
aos101, I already have email accounts with forwarders just as you have described. I will try removing an account and see what happens.
