When logging into mydomain/webmail users are always presented with a choice of the three mail programs. Is there a way to for me specify which programe will be used when the email accounts are being set up. TIA

OK. Understood. Something for the future maybe?

Anyway it means that I need to give my users clear instructions; but that's OK.

That's definitely a feature I'd appreciate. A couple of my webmail users aren't very clever, it's literally a case of write it down step-by-step and let them keep a laminated copy in their wallets...

They can of course bookmark one particular webmail link, but you'd probably spend as long explaining that as you would letting them choose their own.

I think it would be easier to install a PHP POP3 reader in a folder on your domain and bypass cPanel entirely. I keep meaning to do one specifically for cPanel-accounts but... there's always another job to do first!

Jim,

Thanks for this, I've just tested it out and it works a treat! I remember searching for something like this earlier and I couldn't find it - perhaps cPanel have just implemented this.

Hi All,
Apologies for dredging up an old thread, but about 3 years ago Mike T suggested installing a PHP POP3 reader. I've been keeping the issue on the back burner and today been looking at options. Thing is everyone with an account on my domain uses IMAP.

So, does anyone know a good (and relatively simple to install) PHP IMAP webmail program?

Ta!
Richard

You know you have two PHP based IMAP webmail clients available to you through cPanel?

They can be accessed via http://yourdomain.com/webmail
