Hi - I am a little confused - hope someone can help...
The disk space usage quoted on CPanel Home Page is showing the following:

Disk Space Usage 713.92/1000 MB

Yet when I have a dig around the site with File Manager - I cannot seem to find where all the space is being used....and "Disk Space Usage" is showing the following:

public_html 269.59 Meg
logs 10.39 Meg
tmp 6.71 Meg
other 2.30 Meg
mail 0.79 Meg
/ 0.29 Meg
etc 0.17 Meg
php 0.15 Meg
public_ftp 0.01 Meg
perl 0.00 Meg
Total 714.07 Meg

Anyone know a good way of tracking down what the actual disk space usage really is ? - or a way of determining where the space is being used ?
Many Thanks in advance...

Hi,

You have 413M of data in your .trash folder in the root of your directory. You can clear this via the cPanel file manager or via your FTP client (if you view hidden files).

Alternatively I can clear it now.

Thanks,

Andrew

Sorry Andrew - was looking in the wrong place - although in my defense - the ".trash folder" does not show in the left column of the file manager - unless I am looking in the wrongplace again ?
I had not really looked at the "Trash bin" as a source of "hidden space"
Thanks for waking me up...
