disk space v bandwidth tre-off?

I'm thinking of moving to nethosted largely on the grounds that you seem to have no negative feedback anywhere. I'm deeply impressed by your transparent approach to problem solving with an open forum so anyone can see how things run and how problems are addressed. Oh, and the quick, helpful and non-defensive responses to issues. And the pricing ain't bad.

My main site is an educational intranet low on traffic but heavy on disk space. I'd need the space of your Plus plan but nowhere near the bandwidth. Would it be possible as the content grows to trade unneeded bandwidth for more disk space?

I see you had major problems with your Pluto server earlier this year. Disk failures will happen, but the extended downtime seemed to be due to failure of the backup systems and then poor response by the data centre staff. Have you been able to set up systems to avoid this happening again?

I'm afraid we don't really offer arrangements like that, for us the disk space is more of a premium than the bandwidth also!

Pluto was a rather complicated issue, the server had software raid however it failed causing the extended downtime. The server you are going to be put on will have hardware raid which should be a much more robust and reliable solution. Backups are also stored remotely so even if the hardware raid has issues we will still have backups of your site that we can restore from.
