I thought it was excellent tonight.
That lady who invented the couch/beanbag/suspended tarpaulin thing REALLY couldn't take criticism, constructive or otherwise. |

Didn't she get the money in the end, from Rachel? Or was that another one? I know there was one person whose pitch wasn't received by any of the guys, but Rachel picked it up - maybe out of pity!
The woman with the cardboard picnic furniture really threw it away though, she could have sold that if she didn't interrupt all the time. |

You get a real mix of people, most of whom shouldn't be in business for their own sake. Why the womean with cardboard furniture went on a national TV show if she couln't say anything about the product beats me. I wouldn't employ her let alone give her any money.
I liked the idea of the digital imaging equipment that got the money. The original guy is obviously a great engineer and I think the 2 dragons will help him make that a great product. His brother will be shown the door though!! |

Actually, I was slightly concerned for the 2 guys who had the measuring equipment.
The only reason the American "dragon" offered to help, it seemed, was because the 2 guys already had the idea patented. The last thing he said was about how, even if the product failed, he could easily make his money back by selling the patent.
If the 2 guys believe in it that much to have it patented, (plus patent a further 17 seperate parts of it,) it is such a shame that there's a chance he may make them sell their business idea just to make some money. HE'LL be in pocket, but the 2 guys will be left with no product. Some money from the sale admittedly, but they'll no longer have the thing they've worked together on for years. |

I must have missed that bit as my dog was whineing about going out for a walk. If I were them, I would always keep hold of the patent. Intellectual property is so important these days. The CEO of Coca-Cola said that if he were to give the whole company away except the trademark of Coca-Cola that within 1 year he could have the number one selling soft drink in the world again. I think the holy grail of business is to have a product or brand name that strong. I can only dream ..... |
