Hi Andrew & Co -
Okay, this problem is strange. I am not getting any emails from my friends that contain attachments. I have not done anything server side at all, and have tested this by sending myself emails with my hotmail account and checking them with Squirrelmail, not my email client - and nothing shows up. Any help would be appreciated!

Are you email accounts nearing their storage limits?

Andrew

Nope. I've tested two of my personal accounts, here's their storage/quota:
jason (at benalto) usage: 12.04 Meg quota: 100.00 Meg
jason (at thefirstpunic) usage: 0.14 Meg quota: 100.00 Meg
I still have over 600 megs of disk space left as well.

Is there a 'mail log' I could go into and see what happened to messages from a specific address or something?

Firstly can you confirm for me you can't see the attachments in a different webmail interface.

Sure.
I just sent myself 2 messages via my hotmail address, one with an attachment, one without. The one without came through in Squirrel, Horde, and NeoMail....the one with the attachment (which was sent first) did not show up in any.

What attachment type are you trying to send. A .exe file will be rejected.

AHHHHHHHHH it was a zip file that wouldn't go through. I tried a zip and a tiff and the tiff went through. Not the zip. Why!?

Something is happening to the attachments!

The messages in the logs look like this:

2006-02-27 21:55:47 1FDqLI-0007pD-BJ => /dev/null <jason <at> benalto.com> R=central_filter T=**bypassed**

But that coud be in reference to the attachments that are not allowed. I've restarted exim just in case it's a glitch there.

Please can you submit a ticket so I can test it out with your mailbox details.
