Hi,

All is well with my shiny new account...except for email! It seemingly refuses to work, with server timeouts on test@tcfsellyoak.org.uk & tcfsell@tcfsellyoak.org.uk.

I can't see any stupid mistakes I'm making, so could you check that email is properly configured for that account please?

Thanks,

bogl

What details are you using?

pop server should be mail.yourdomain.com and login details tcfsell+tcfsellyoak.org.uk you wont be able to connect to test+ as you haven't created that mailbox.

I'm using mail.tcfsellyoak.org.uk for pop3 & test+tcfsellyoak.org.uk because according to control panel I *have* configured it.

tcfsell times out too on pop3 check.

Perhaps I am doing summat daft, but I don't know what!

I just setup a test mailbox and had no problems collecting an email I sent to it via Mail (a Mac email program).

Do you have a firewall?

That cracked it...it would appear that pop3 mail & my ISP's proxy server do not get on. Exclude my domain from being accessed via the proxy and all is peachy. Thanks for your help, prompt & helpful service even though the night (when do you sleep?) !

What's this sleep you talk of?

Glad it's all working for you!
