yes, I saw that but haven't downloaded it yet, my brain might explode if I give it too much to think about at once! _________________ Getting the hang of it slowly (subject to comment) |

HTML-Kit is a really nice editor. I've used it for best part of a year now and definately better than spending £400 on Dreamweaver. _________________ Hard to find and premium pet products at Pennine Vets |

its not very WYSIWIG though? I'm trying Antenna at the moment as it is WYSIWIG. Any others I can try and especially if they are Flash friendly _________________ Getting the hang of it slowly (subject to comment) |

WYSIWIG editors tend to put in an awful lot of junk code, giving file sizes much larger than is needed. Try saving a page of text or worse still, a table, in Word as html. Huge file sizes!
Perhaps it is a good idea to start off with WYSIWYG and then when you want to learn more about XHTML & CSS, move over onto a pure text editor. You will have much more flexibility and sleeker, quicker sites if you can learn to hand code and it isn't that difficult. Oh, and please don't use too much flash. _________________ Hard to find and premium pet products at Pennine Vets |

That's what I will do, try it until I feel like coding it straight but having programmed for 20 years or so its nice to let the computer do the work. I often edit the crap out afterwards anyway
Flash is good
Actually I use Swish as its far quicker for me and less complicated to use. Flash gives a screen that has me looking all over the place just to find anything _________________ Getting the hang of it slowly (subject to comment) |
