Okay, I have some image files that are dynamically loaded into a page (a Flash screen ). All works a treat

How can I stop someone from typing the url address directly to the file? I've tried removing the World permission to the file but then it won't load. Is it Hotlinking protection and how?

That'd be file loading based on referrer which is hotlinking, only allow your site to load the file, meaning it will only be allowed to be loaded dynamically by your site.
