Hey can anyone give me any suggestions for a Firewall and/or Spyware Detector/Remover program (thats free )
At the moment I use a firewall I made but I made it so it can't be very secure :/.
I also use Ad-Aware but you need to subscribe to get the auto-protect feature .
Help? |

SpyBot is pretty good.
The XP built in firewall works pretty well, but if you want an inbound/outbound firewall then Kerio v2 is my choice (it's an older version, lemme see if I can find it ) _________________ | Josh

Kerio?
Yes, while I love parts of Kerio, I've been less than pleased with it sometimes.
Perhaps zone alarm would work?
Of course, I'd still just use the built in XP one along with yours (or even without it ) Should be fine as long as you're sure to keep out trojans and such _________________ | Josh

| Zone Alarm? that a real one? I thought that was just a vb thing. i found that one.... Either way, got Kerio now. seems a tad more annoying but hey thats just coz its just started. kinda like sygate in the sense that it has to ask you 5 times for it to remember you've told it to remember to permit something. |

Spyware: Ad-ware You don't need to subscribe to auto-update.
Firewall: Zone alarm Pretty good software
Virus-scan: Well I prefer Norton Antivirus 2004 but it's not free, maybe you can use AVG . In a test AVG was not pretty good, so I my advise is: buy a desent virus-scan |
