When uploading alot of files like a bulletin board system, i get this message half way through

A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

I cant seem to get the wholes thing done at once.

Most connections will time out if inactive for a while. Did you have a gap in the middle of the upload?

It must be getting stuck on one type of file, can you see from the logs if it is anything in particular. If a file type is slow to respond (it may be in use on your pc), then a time-out could occur.

How big an upload are you talking about? Is it taking a loooong time?

Does the account you're uploading too have sufficient space left?

Andrew

3Mb is nothing for an FTP transfer, it should only take 5 -6 mins max on a adsl line. Try splitting it up into 2 or 3 smaller chunks or using a different FTP client. This shouldn't be too difficult for that kind of upload size. It may be the software that is unable to cope with a large number of small files.

You're uploading 3MB files, WHM tells us you've only used 1MB of space in total!

I haven't changed anything, it could have been your ISP having some routing problems or similar.
