| |
Hi.
When you one of these backups from cpanel does this back up every single bit of your site including mysql db's and emails/settings etc?
Just for future reference when you do the restore of one of those backups with the restore in cpanel does this set it up exactly as it was when you backed up or do you have to register the databases or anything again?
Thanks. Luckily I havnt messed up alrerady but I think it will be useful for future reference.

Well I'd have thought it would back up everything - might be wise to just check the other sections incase there is a backup option for those too.
Having said that you should always have a local mirror of whats on the server.
Not so sure about restore as I've never had to resotre a backup on a cpanel server _________________ | Mark

Yea Ill keep a local copy aswell but while im messing around and updating things its probably a good idea to keep a couple of backups. My local copy doesnt included the mysql databases either.
I think Im probably over paranoid of losing my data anyway.
Thanks. Ill remember for the future incase I need to do it |

| How often do you take backups of the server, and how long are they kept for? |
