Does anyone know what version of the GD library is running and if it is set to automatically resize images?

Our PHP info file: http://www.nethosted.co.uk/phpinfo/ 
You should use ImageMagick to make thumbnails of images if that's what you're trying to do (path: /usr/local/bin/convert)

Thanks for the welcome!
I am using an auction mod for my PHPBB board, there have been some issues with hosts that haven't got the GD library set to resize images, thats all.

GD as standard can resize images, I've never heard of it doing so automatically that would surely depend on what the script tells it to do (e.g. makes the images xx% smaller or similar...)
I don't think you'll have problems, we certainly didn't compile GD without this and it's standard functionality (image resizing).
