Hi,

I cannot send emails to services@123-reg.co.uk and keep receiving the following VBScript: McAfee VirusScan error message:
----------------------------------
Command sent was: RCPT TO: <services@123-reg.co.uk>
Response received is : 550-wilsonpro.plus.com (asus) [81.174.147.148] is currently not permitted to 550-relay through this server......etc
-----------------------------------
Is this a problem with you or my ISP PlusNet please.

I get the same problem when sending emails from my other PC which is running Norton Antivirus (instead of this PC's MacAfee).

It worked OK early this morning but has not worked since 8am today.

Andrew, I am only using PlusNet for Internet access, so they are not PlusNet messages. My email service has been provided by your good selves for months - via gbc.org.uk and wilsonpro.co.uk.

I cannot see why I am getting this PlusNet error message, any ideas please.

But 81.174.147.148 is not one of our IP's!

81.174.148.148 is the static IP of my router. When I send a test message from Outlook 2003 to myself it works, but to any other domains it produces the following error message.

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: RE: Your item has been dispatched. (eBay# ******)
Sent: 15/08/2005 07:06

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'ebay@digitalrev.com' on 15/08/2005 07:06
503 No recipient(s).

Perhaps my IP 81.174.148.148 is being blocked by Nethosted mail server?

Tech Support at my Internet Access Provider Plusnet say, "It could be the email servers you are using [i.e. Nethosted] may be blocking your IP 81.174.148.148, as the error message states your IP is not allowed to relay through those servers [i.e. Nethosted]. I suggest contacting them to allow your IP to send email through them. "

I have some really important emails to send so would appreciate your help.

cPanel are being less than helpful "reinstall exim" I've already done that!

You should've been able to send email however.

The same problem has returned this morning. Can't send emails as my IP 81.174.148.148 is rejected by nethosted mail server.

Yep, the fix I put in place was reversed by the last cPanel update.

Just returned from holiday today. Can you please confirm you have fixed it for good now (as far as you can tell)?

Would the problem have affected all users (in case some of my users complain about it.)?

Yes your issue was fixed, however some users are getting a different ghost bounce however mail is still getting delivered.
