yeah thats pretty good that the backups are in place.

this will teach me a very good lesson. i won't be doing this again.

Your database is HUGE, I can't stress that enough. It's nearly 800MB uncompressed consequently it has taken 40 minutes so far to try and restore the backup from the 14th.

This doesn't encourage me merge wise.

I'm really not sure how long this is going to take.

Perhaps - I think it's going to take three hours or so to restore at the rate it is going.

Sorry about that, it's taking a seriously long time to enter data. I will leave it running all night naturally. Do you still want to try the merge considering that'll probably take at least 6 hours and if it goes wrong another 6 to restore the backup?

Everything has been restored from the 14th. Sorry my estimations were so(!) far out there. At the rate it was restoring it genuinely looked like 6 hours, however it must have been inputting some rather complicated queries hence the slowness. Once it had got past that point it flew.
