Playing with inserting YouTube videos (ie no bandwidth cost) using banners module in Mambo.
So far only 1 video & low (phone camera?) quality. Also need to work out how wide I can get the movie before the navbars kick in.
Yeah or nay on the idea/look not the quality.

Well the video adds extra interest, but maybe it should start playing when the page is loaded? I'm in two minds about that, but it's in the top right corner and if it doesn't start playing a lot of people might simply miss it...

6 of one, half a dozen of the other. If people miss it, never mind as it doesn't upset the people who get annoyed when a movie/audio track autoplays eating away at their bandwidth (like me).
The main problem is embeding vids in articles as Mambo's WYSIWYG editor strips the tags, so I'll have to paste the HTML into Mambo from another program. Welcome back dreamweaver. |

One quick thing that I noticed, is that because there are 2 sites involved - gosportnews and gosportpages, and a few of the menu links that link to the other site open a brand new page.
I'd look at your mambo menus and set them all to open in _parent, as a few are currently set to open new pages in _blank.
Other than that slight niggle, I like the content. |

Cheers for the comment. It's deliberate to open in blank as I want to direct them to the GP site but not leave GN site and vice versa, but the people who switch may not want that or have a pop-up blocker installed. again it's 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. |
