For a start I get warned about the certificate:
| Quote: | Unable to verify SSL server mail.heracliteanfire.net
Mail was unable to verify the identity of this server, which hasa certificate issued to "neptune.solardns.com." The error was:
The root certificate for this server could not be verified. |
Then if I go ahead anyway I get another error message, saying
| Quote: | Cannot send message...
The server response was: Sender verify failed |
and if I send email to myself using another account, it gets bounced straight back.
| Quote: | Technical details of permanent failure:
PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 9): 550-"The recipient cannot be verified. Please check all recipients of this
550 message to verify they are valid." |
I don't think I've changed any settings at all. Help! |

Hi,
Sender verify messages imply your sending server could not verify the existence of your mail account. Have you setup the mailbox harry@ ?

I don't have a specific mailbox for 'harry'; I just log in to the default account and anything[at]heracliteanfire.net reaches me. I guess I could set up a harry@ account and see if that works, but it was working fine until about half an hour ago.

No, that seems to be completely sorted; thank you.
It's still complaining about the security certificate, but I'm happy to ignore that if you say it's safe to do so.
