I'm sure everyone has seen it, but I really can't believe this still

85% of people currently thing it's rubbish according to the attached poll. It cost £400,000 to design! Did they not pitch it to any focus groups at all?

It's not often my apathy level rises above the threshold needed to partake in online polls but in this instance I'm definitely in there with the rest of the 85%.
On the same site you can already view a number of ideas which seem to better capture the spirit of the enterprise and are also considerably more memorable.

Yes indeed, I think the vast majority of us would approve of that particular offering. I just wonder if they'll persevere with the chosen logo considering its current approval rates... 
Honestly, with 5 or so years to go before the Olympics I'd say no lasting damage would come from swapping at this stage.

I've yet to see a yellow one, fearful that it WILL look like Lisa Simspon in a sex act 
of course one look and you will be thinking the official line:
"the logo is "modern and will be dynamic, evolving in the years between now and 2012" and furthermore "symbolises the Olympic spirit and the ability of the Games to inspire people to take part - not just as spectators, but as volunteers, in the Cultural Olympiad and more".
Obviously.

I think most people were too busy clearing up the sick from their laps after it was unveiled to take much notice of what Lord Coe had to say about it!
Personally having just read what he did say I think my sentiments are best summed up in the same manner that you chose (quoted)
