Hi,

Quick question out of interest really, is email scanned for viruses automatically??

I only ask as I notice on the Hosting Plans page that is shows a virus scanner ticked but I have never found an option to control this?

If it is set up does it scan incoming or outgoing mail and which scanning system does it use??

Gareth,

A minimal form of AV scanning takes place on incoming messages. It has to be limited as rejecting legitimate messages is a clear no no! Basically certain attachments common to viruses are disallowed (.exe etc)
