Has Spam scoring been enabled for email accounts?
http://email.nethosted.co.uk/plans/
I have just noticed this being enabled in the last 24 hours.
I cant see an option to disable (or edit the spam scoring) this?
I'm a bit concerned that the auto spam detection (assp deluxe) will mark legit mail as spam. The log only shows the last 50 or 60 messgaes?
Is my only option to enable the /spam pop account?
Thanks Floob |

Hi,
Spam scoring has always been enabled for customers who have ASSP. You can disable it any time you like via the Spam and Antivirus tool in cPanel. It's a very effective system however and it is recommended to keep it on. Any spam it finds will be put into the spam folder for you if you do decide to use it.
Thanks,

Thanks for your prompt reply.
Its just very odd that this has just started happening today.
Is this something cPanel can activate remotely?
As I *know* yesterday I was getting the same spam as I usually have done for the past few years, and today it is all getting caught up in the filter.
I have not changed any settings in the spam/av folder since I opened my email account.
I have just enabled the /spam pop option and have downloaded a backlog of over 300 messages. To be fair I havent noticed a legitimate email amongst them, but I would like this to come through the main account.
It is probably me being dim, but I cant see the disable option for the spam scoring. Can you point me in the right direction?
I also cant see any settings to let me change the scoring system.
Should I raise a ticket? |

Hi,
I've spotted what has happened here. I was testing something out on the ASSP filter system last night and I temporarily enabled scoring globally. However after the testing I then did not change the scoring back to the user controlled setting. I have done this now and your scoring has reverted back to disabled. Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this.
Thanks,
