I want to set up some user 'FTP' accounts with access limited to one directory only. I know it can be done through PHP and wondered if anyone had any particular experience - good or bad
A nice webpage front end would be great. Some method of restricting access to a particular directory is essential. Ability to set a username and password, and a good security record for the code are also a necessity.
Thanks

You can setup FTP accounts with access to only a subdirectory of your account via cPanel already. You can also password protect directories.

A webpage based FTP interface would make my life a lot easier when dealing with non-tecnical people. I don't have to explain and configure an FTP client for them, they can just use a web browser and password. Sort of the equivalent of using email through webmail.

Well that's what cPanel's File Manager tool attempts to do.
