Caching will only work on your server if you have PHP compiled with one of the above optimizers, or have memcache available.

SMF has not been able to detect a compatible accelerator on your server.


I have the option of setting level 1, 2 or 3 caching (2 and 3 not recommended). From memory, using level 1 significantly speeded up and old forum at another host.

Is it okay for me to try the level 1 setting? Are any of the mentioned accelerators installed on Mars?

Hi,

We used to use eAccelerator but it caused a few problems in the end we disabled it. There are no caching solutions on Mars. I doubt it'll let you set the level as we don't have any caching solutions installed.
