| |
Hi I'm using OLSpamCop as a plug-in with MS Outlook to semi-automate spam reporting. I'm getting a 550 error on the odd submission which I think is due to the email servers scanning the body and finding the spamvertised url, is there a way around this?
Thanks

Rob,
The only way is for us to completely remove your domain from our SURBL spam checks. Let me know.

Hi,
So domains can be removed from the spam check list of SURBL ?
Do I just email the domain name in, it should only be the one domain. _________________ Regards,

Garry,
What I mean is that we can exclude domains we host from having their emails checked against the SURBL lists when they send email via our servers.

Hi,
Yes. This is what I'm describing! We can stop our systems from querying SURBL lists for your domains (and therefore all incoming email on them) if you require.

Hi Andrew,
As it's Friday
Could you just confirm that if you remove a domain from SURBL checks, that both incoming email to the domain (POP3) and outgoing email from the domain (SMTP) are no longer checked?
I thought only outgoing (SMTP) email was checked?
Thanks

Rob,
Only incoming mail is checked. Remember if you are sending a notification to spamcop you are generating a mail that will be sent to our server so that is why it is being checked. If we remove the domain then this will no longer be checked.
