Website - Forum hosting

Hi am looking at setting up a small for now forum and possibly a website and a friend has highly recomended you !

Question is; Do you set up a basic forum for us to use? Can I then go in and add sections to teh forum or do we have to upload things to you?

We will also be wanting to purchase a domain name,I take it this could easily be set up to point to our forum ?

Thanks for your interest in NetHosted!

We don't setup the forum for you. However we do supply software which allows you to install some very popular forum software very easily. After it is installed you will have admin access to it so you will be able to add categories etc

Yes we can register a domain name for you and it will point to your web space.

what type of software ? just so I can do so some research and figure out it its simple enough for us

ps considering there wont be a huge amount of traffic at the moment what do you advise us for a suitable package ?

I would suggest starting on our Basic Plan. You can always upgrade at a later point if there are any space/bandwidth concerns.

I take it is very simple to donwload SMF and install it to yourself
are there step by step instructions anywhere ?

Hi,

Once you have signed up, you login to cPanel and use the Fantastico tool there to install SMF. It is very simple.
